It depends! Each funder has different requirements and steps to complete for a grant proposal. Some grant applications can take a few hours, and others take weeks! Part of our services include working with you to identify potential grants for your organization, and helping you determine the viability and timeframe for submitting a proposal.
Each client has different needs; pricing is based on the scope of service provided. We build long-term relationships with our clients for maximum impact. Therefore, most clients are on a monthly retainer. We also charge a per-project fee for special projects, funding searches, grant office assessments, or large foundation or government grants.

Absolutely not. Kim Joyce and Associates will never take a percentage of funds or a commission based on funding awarded to your organization. We adhere to the Grant Professionals Association and Association of Fundraising Professionals’ codes of ethics which preclude us from doing so. Fees are based on the cost of doing business.

No. Applying for a grant, either on your own, or with the assistance of a grant professional, never guarantees you will be awarded funding.

In addition to writing your grant, we may also assist with coaching you on appropriate communications with funders and collaborating with them for any additional reports/documents that may be needed throughout their process.

Absolutely! We will schedule meetings with you to learn more about your organization, your funding needs, and to discuss items needed for the grant process. Additionally, we will communicate with our clients to review applications before submission. Grants are funds provided from one organization (often corporations, foundations/trusts, government departments, etc.) to another organization which do not need to be repaid. Grants often require a proposal to be submitted, and are most often intended for nonprofit entities, educational institutions, and individuals.

Kim Joyce and Associates will meet with you to get to know your organization and your needs. We will determine eligibility and timeframes for grant opportunities. After the initial meetings, our team can effectively apply for multiple grants on your behalf.
This depends on the funder. Some funders provide a check via mail, while others provide payment via electronic transfers. Once notification is provided (you have been awarded funding), an explanation of fund distribution is also expected from the funder.
Kim Joyce and Associates will provide clients with a contractual agreement to be signed by both parties. Payment for services is accepted in several forms.
Registration and payment for training will be held online.
Kim Joyce and Associates is working with clients via teleconference, ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangout, and phone meetings. Our offices remain closed to the public and our communications with clients remain via electronic methods (phone, email, social media, virtual meetings, etc.). The safety of our staff and clients is our top priority.
Due to COVID-19, we have also seen a large increase in grant funding and grant requests. As a result, we are meeting with clients via phone to determine eligibility for COVID-19 and CARES Act specific funding, as well as other grants. Contact us today to learn more!
